Well Pump Housing · Insulated Fiberglass · 4 Sizes

This well pump housing gives the pump, wellhead, and pressure tank a protected enclosure without the footprint or upkeep of a full well house. A layered fiberglass shell over a closed-cell urethane foam core shields the equipment from freeze damage, UV, and yard abuse, and it lifts off by hand whenever the pump needs work. It comes in four sizes, all finished in a 20-mil pigmented gelcoat that never needs painting.

Overview

Protection Without Building a Well House.

This well pump housing encloses the pump, wellhead, and pressure tank in a single lift-off shell — no framing, no roofing, no maintenance. A layered fiberglass exterior wrapped around a closed-cell urethane foam core (approximately R-7) shields the equipment from freeze damage, UV, and the everyday abuse of being out in the yard, and a 20-mil pigmented gelcoat means the color you order is the color that lasts.

No anchoring hardware is needed for normal use — the housing's weight and shape hold it in place. Snap-tight construction means no fasteners are required for routine service: lift it off, work the pump, set it back down. Four sizes cover everything from compact pump assemblies up to larger wellhead, tank, and pump groupings.

Why Contractors Specify It

Freeze Protection That Holds Up Outdoors

Freeze protection

A closed-cell urethane foam core (~R-7) shields the pump, wellhead, and pressure tank through cold snaps from the southern Carolinas to the upper Midwest.

Snap-tight, no fasteners

The housing lifts off and sets back on for routine service — no bolts or hardware to manage in the field.

Gelcoat that lasts

A 20-mil pigmented gelcoat resists UV and weather and never needs painting — stackable for distributor freight efficiency.

FAQ

Common Questions

How do I get to the pump?
Lift the housing off, work the well, and set it back down. The snap-tight design requires no fasteners for routine service — there are no bolts or hardware to manage in the field.
What size well pump housing do I need?
Measure the footprint and height of your pump, wellhead, pressure tank, and any backflow components together, then add clearance. The Small Standard (18″ L × 18″ W × 22″ H) covers a single wellhead, small pressure tank, or compact pump. The Small-Medium Standard (33″ L × 22″ W × 24″ H) fits a wellhead plus a small tank or dual-line setup. The Medium Standard (40″ L × 35″ W × 38″ H) handles a full wellhead-and-tank install, and the Large Standard (58″ L × 34″ W × 44″ H) covers larger wellhead, tank, and pump groupings.
How does it protect against freezing?
The housing is a layered fiberglass exterior over a closed-cell urethane foam core (about R-7). That insulation traps ground and equipment heat around the pump, wellhead, and tank, protecting against freeze damage across a wide climate range.
Does it need to be anchored?
Not for routine installs — the housing's weight and shape hold it in place. Anchoring kits can be added where high wind or tampering is a concern. All four sizes fit 4″ to 12″ casing diameters as standard, with custom configurations available on request.
