How Many Trackout Mats Do You Need?

Every DiamondTrack trackout mat is 7 ft × 12 ft and covers 84 ft². To size a construction entrance by hand, take the scrub-zone area and divide by 84:

Mats needed = (Exit Width × Exit Length) ÷ 84

What Is a Trackout Mat?

A trackout mat — also called a trackout control mat, rumble mat, or construction mud mat — is a pad placed at a construction entrance or exit to knock mud and sediment off tires before vehicles reach the public road. It's a soil-tracking-prevention device that keeps dirt on-site and roadways clean.
