Our landscape netting for slope applications is an ideal three-dimensional turf reinforcement mat for hillsides and embankments. These nets are made of durable Nylon monofilament nylon mesh designed to be UV stabilized and able to resist degradation from the sun and other outdoor elements.

These 3D structured meshes are engineered so that they are 90%+ open space for grass and plant vegetation to grow and establish roots. The established root network intertwined within the netting is the goal as it secures the soil and prevents unwanted erosion due to high winds or rapid water run-off.  

Each net comes ready to install and once in place can be seeded to encourage quick plant growth. Great for applications such as hillsides, embankments, and gullies.

About Erosion Control Netting For Dry & Wet Slopes

When it comes to erosion, the two elements that play the biggest role are wind and water. If you think natural vegetation can prevent this from happening, you'd be wrong. You need EnkaMat erosion control matting to stop erosion from taking place. Originally introduced in the 70s, it was the first rolled erosion control product (RECP) created exclusively for this purpose. EnkaMat is the most recognized and specified turf reinforcement mat on the market. Its unique combination of strength and flexibility allows EnkaMat to prevent challenges on slopes, banks, ditches, channels, spillways, shorelines, and other erosion issues.

What Is EnkaMat?

The EnkaMat 7000 series is the foundation of erosion control. The three-dimensional turf reinforcement mat is created by repeated monofilaments integrated at the intersection and is available in a variety of thicknesses. The construction is 95% open for mulch, soil, and root interplay. It's the most effective root-reinforcement mat on the market. The matting is made from nylon to prevent floating when submerged. This product offers permanent TRM, or turf reinforcement mat, protection in vegetated tracks and on slopes.

What Is EnkaMat R?

This product provides superior performance that includes a high-tensity polyester geogrid inside the fibers of the three-dimensional reinforcement mat. Offering a very strong tensile element for reinforcement and the TRM for root interweaving forms excellent properties for erosion control that's used along slopes, shorelines, and as a grip under vegetated layers.

How EnkaMat Turf Reinforcement Mats Prevent Erosion

EnkaMat erosion control can be used in many situations. Whether erosion control is needed for slopes or above or below the water, you need these mats for all situations. Its three-dimensional, flexible pattern will adjust to any soil surface that's smooth. The mat should be on a prepared bed that is free of rocks, clumps, roots, or other irregular elements. Once in place, the erosion-control blanket can be seeded and filled with soil or mulch. EnkaMat's open form offers space for soil and will stimulate root and plant growth.

When the roots develop, they will become entangled in the fused filaments to anchor vegetation and create a stable cover. EnkaMat is an ideal underlay for sod as well. Many independent organizations including the Army Corps of Engineers, Colorado State University, and the German Bundesanstalt für Wasserbau have tested this product.
